Policies

Apple

Apple hardware that is not under warranty cannot be fixed.

Data

The department will not be responsible for recovering data from a failed hard drive or other storage. You are responsible for backing up your data using one of the university-approved methods.

Laptops/Desktops

Any computer bought through the University is the property of UNC and must be returned to ESE’s IT Services.

ESE does not issue computers to adjunct faculty. Teaching adjuncts will be loaned a laptop for the semester they are teaching and must return it at the end of the semester.

Personal property

The department cannot support personally owned hardware or software.
